# Translation Ayah
1 When the Waqi`ah occurs إِذَا وَقَعَتِ الْوَاقِعَةُ
2 There is not, for its occurrence, Kadhibah. لَيْسَ لِوَقْعَتِهَا كَاذِبَةٌ
3 Bringing low (some), exalting (others). خَافِضَةٌ رَّافِعَةٌ
4 When the earth will be shaken with a terrible shake. إِذَا رُجَّتِ الْأَرْضُ رَجًّا
5 And the mountains will be powdered to dust, وَبُسَّتِ الْجِبَالُ بَسًّا
6 So that they will become floating dust particles. فَكَانَتْ هَبَاء مُّنبَثًّا
7 And you (all) will be in three groups. وَكُنتُمْ أَزْوَاجًا ثَلَاثَةً
8 So those on the right -- how (fortunate) will be those on the right! فَأَصْحَابُ الْمَيْمَنَةِ مَا أَصْحَابُ الْمَيْمَنَةِ
9 And those on the left -- how (unfortunate) will be those on the left! وَأَصْحَابُ الْمَشْأَمَةِ مَا أَصْحَابُ الْمَشْأَمَةِ
10 And those foremost will be foremost. وَالسَّابِقُونَ السَّابِقُونَ
11 These will be the nearest (to Allah). أُوْلَئِكَ الْمُقَرَّبُونَ
12 In the Gardens of Delight. فِي جَنَّاتِ النَّعِيمِ
13 A multitude of those will be from the first ones. ثُلَّةٌ مِّنَ الْأَوَّلِينَ
14 And a few of those will be from the later ones. وَقَلِيلٌ مِّنَ الْآخِرِينَ
15 (They will be) on thrones, Mawdunah. عَلَى سُرُرٍ مَّوْضُونَةٍ
16 Reclining thereon, face to face. مُتَّكِئِينَ عَلَيْهَا مُتَقَابِلِينَ
17 Immortal boys will go around them (serving), يَطُوفُ عَلَيْهِمْ وِلْدَانٌ مُّخَلَّدُونَ
18 With cups, and jugs, and a glass of flowing wine, بِأَكْوَابٍ وَأَبَارِيقَ وَكَأْسٍ مِّن مَّعِينٍ
19 Wherefrom neither Yusadda`un nor Yunzifun. لَا يُصَدَّعُونَ عَنْهَا وَلَا يُنزِفُونَ
20 And with fruit that they may choose. وَفَاكِهَةٍ مِّمَّا يَتَخَيَّرُونَ
21 And with the flesh of fowls that they desire. وَلَحْمِ طَيْرٍ مِّمَّا يَشْتَهُونَ
22 And (there will be) Hur with wide lovely eyes. وَحُورٌ عِينٌ
23 Like preserved pearls. كَأَمْثَالِ اللُّؤْلُؤِ الْمَكْنُونِ
24 A reward for what they used to do. جَزَاء بِمَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ
25 No Laghw (evil vain talk) will they hear therein, nor any sinful speech. لَا يَسْمَعُونَ فِيهَا لَغْوًا وَلَا تَأْثِيمًا
26 But only the saying of: "Salaman! Salaman!" إِلَّا قِيلًا سَلَامًا سَلَامًا
27 And those on the right -- how (fortunate) will be those on the right وَأَصْحَابُ الْيَمِينِ مَا أَصْحَابُ الْيَمِينِ
28 (They will be) among Sidri Makhdud, فِي سِدْرٍ مَّخْضُودٍ
29 And among Talh Mandud. وَطَلْحٍ مَّنضُودٍ
30 And in shade Mamdud, وَظِلٍّ مَّمْدُودٍ
31 And by water flowing constantly, وَمَاء مَّسْكُوبٍ
32 And fruit in plenty, وَفَاكِهَةٍ كَثِيرَةٍ
33 Whose supply is not cut off nor are they out of reach. لَّا مَقْطُوعَةٍ وَلَا مَمْنُوعَةٍ
34 And on couches, raised high. وَفُرُشٍ مَّرْفُوعَةٍ
35 Verily, We have created them a special creation. إِنَّا أَنشَأْنَاهُنَّ إِنشَاء
36 And made them virgins. فَجَعَلْنَاهُنَّ أَبْكَارًا
37 `Urub, Atrab. عُرُبًا أَتْرَابًا
38 For those on the right. لِّأَصْحَابِ الْيَمِينِ
39 A multitude of those will be from the first generation. ثُلَّةٌ مِّنَ الْأَوَّلِينَ
40 And a multitude of those will be from the later generations. وَثُلَّةٌ مِّنَ الْآخِرِينَ
41 And those on the left How will be those on the left وَأَصْحَابُ الشِّمَالِ مَا أَصْحَابُ الشِّمَالِ
42 In Samum, and Hamim. فِي سَمُومٍ وَحَمِيمٍ
43 And a shadow from Yahmum, وَظِلٍّ مِّن يَحْمُومٍ
44 Neither Barid nor Karim, لَّا بَارِدٍ وَلَا كَرِيمٍ
45 Verily, before that, they indulged in luxury, إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا قَبْلَ ذَلِكَ مُتْرَفِينَ
46 And were persisting in great sin. وَكَانُوا يُصِرُّونَ عَلَى الْحِنثِ الْعَظِيمِ
47 And they used to say: "When we die and become dust and bones, shall we then indeed be resurrected" وَكَانُوا يَقُولُونَ أَئِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابًا وَعِظَامًا أَئِنَّا لَمَبْعُوثُونَ
48 "And also our forefathers" أَوَ آبَاؤُنَا الْأَوَّلُونَ
49 Say: "(Yes) verily, those of old, and those of later times." قُلْ إِنَّ الْأَوَّلِينَ وَالْآخِرِينَ
50 "All will surely be gathered together for appointed meeting of a known Day." لَمَجْمُوعُونَ إِلَى مِيقَاتِ يَوْمٍ مَّعْلُومٍ
51 "Then verily, --- you the erring -- ones, the deniers!" ثُمَّ إِنَّكُمْ أَيُّهَا الضَّالُّونَ الْمُكَذِّبُونَ
52 "You verily, will eat of the trees of Zaqqum." لَآكِلُونَ مِن شَجَرٍ مِّن زَقُّومٍ
53 "Then you will fill your bellies therewith," فَمَالِؤُونَ مِنْهَا الْبُطُونَ
54 "And drink the Hamim on top of it." فَشَارِبُونَ عَلَيْهِ مِنَ الْحَمِيمِ
55 "And you will drink (that) like Al-Him!" فَشَارِبُونَ شُرْبَ الْهِيمِ
56 That will be their entertainment on the Day of Recompense! هَذَا نُزُلُهُمْ يَوْمَ الدِّينِ
57 We created you, then why do you believe not نَحْنُ خَلَقْنَاكُمْ فَلَوْلَا تُصَدِّقُونَ
58 Do you not see the semen you emit. أَفَرَأَيْتُم مَّا تُمْنُونَ
59 Is it you who create it, or are We the Creator أَأَنتُمْ تَخْلُقُونَهُ أَمْ نَحْنُ الْخَالِقُونَ
60 We have decreed death to you all, and We are not outstripped, نَحْنُ قَدَّرْنَا بَيْنَكُمُ الْمَوْتَ وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمَسْبُوقِينَ
61 To transfigure you and create you in (forms) that you know not. عَلَى أَن نُّبَدِّلَ أَمْثَالَكُمْ وَنُنشِئَكُمْ فِي مَا لَا تَعْلَمُونَ
62 And indeed, you have already known the first form of creation, why then do you not remember وَلَقَدْ عَلِمْتُمُ النَّشْأَةَ الْأُولَى فَلَوْلَا تَذكَّرُونَ
63 Do you not see what you sow. أَفَرَأَيْتُم مَّا تَحْرُثُونَ
64 Is it you that make it grow, or are We the Grower أَأَنتُمْ تَزْرَعُونَهُ أَمْ نَحْنُ الزَّارِعُونَ
65 Were it Our will, We could crumble it to dry pieces, and you would be Tafakkahun. لَوْ نَشَاء لَجَعَلْنَاهُ حُطَامًا فَظَلْتُمْ تَفَكَّهُونَ
66 (Saying:) "We are indeed Mughramun!" إِنَّا لَمُغْرَمُونَ
67 "Nay, but we are deprived!" بَلْ نَحْنُ مَحْرُومُونَ
68 Do you not see the water that you drink. أَفَرَأَيْتُمُ الْمَاء الَّذِي تَشْرَبُونَ
69 Is it you who cause it to come down from Al-Muzn, or are We the Cause of it coming down أَأَنتُمْ أَنزَلْتُمُوهُ مِنَ الْمُزْنِ أَمْ نَحْنُ الْمُنزِلُونَ
70 If We willed, We verily could make it salty; why then do you not give thanks لَوْ نَشَاء جَعَلْنَاهُ أُجَاجًا فَلَوْلَا تَشْكُرُونَ
71 Do you not see the fire which you kindle. أَفَرَأَيْتُمُ النَّارَ الَّتِي تُورُونَ
72 Is it you who made the tree thereof to grow, or are We the Grower أَأَنتُمْ أَنشَأْتُمْ شَجَرَتَهَا أَمْ نَحْنُ الْمُنشِؤُونَ
73 We have made it a Reminder, and an article of use for the Muqwin. نَحْنُ جَعَلْنَاهَا تَذْكِرَةً وَمَتَاعًا لِّلْمُقْوِينَ
74 Then glorify with praises the Name of your Lord, the Most Great. فَسَبِّحْ بِاسْمِ رَبِّكَ الْعَظِيمِ
75 Fala! I swear by the Mawaqi` of the stars. فَلَا أُقْسِمُ بِمَوَاقِعِ النُّجُومِ
76 And verily that is indeed a great oath, if you but know. وَإِنَّهُ لَقَسَمٌ لَّوْ تَعْلَمُونَ عَظِيمٌ
77 That (this) is indeed an honorable recitation. إِنَّهُ لَقُرْآنٌ كَرِيمٌ
78 In a Book Maknun. فِي كِتَابٍ مَّكْنُونٍ
79 Which none touches but the pure ones. لَّا يَمَسُّهُ إِلَّا الْمُطَهَّرُونَ
80 A revelation from the Lord of all that exists. تَنزِيلٌ مِّن رَّبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ
81 Is it such a talk that you are Mudhinun أَفَبِهَذَا الْحَدِيثِ أَنتُم مُّدْهِنُونَ
82 And you make your provision your denial! وَتَجْعَلُونَ رِزْقَكُمْ أَنَّكُمْ تُكَذِّبُونَ
83 Then why do you not (intervene) when it reaches Al-Hulqum فَلَوْلَا إِذَا بَلَغَتِ الْحُلْقُومَ
84 And you at the moment are looking, وَأَنتُمْ حِينَئِذٍ تَنظُرُونَ
85 But We are nearer to him than you, but you see not, وَنَحْنُ أَقْرَبُ إِلَيْهِ مِنكُمْ وَلَكِن لَّا تُبْصِرُونَ
86 Then why do you not -- if you are not Madinin فَلَوْلَا إِن كُنتُمْ غَيْرَ مَدِينِينَ
87 Return the soul, if you are truthful تَرْجِعُونَهَا إِن كُنتُمْ صَادِقِينَ
88 Then, if he be of the Muqarrabin, فَأَمَّا إِن كَانَ مِنَ الْمُقَرَّبِينَ
89 Then Rawh, Rayhan and a Garden of Delights. فَرَوْحٌ وَرَيْحَانٌ وَجَنَّةُ نَعِيمٍ
90 And if he be of those on the right, وَأَمَّا إِن كَانَ مِنَ أَصْحَابِ الْيَمِينِ
91 Then Salam (peace) to you from those on the right. فَسَلَامٌ لَّكَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ الْيَمِينِ
92 But if he be of the denying, the erring, وَأَمَّا إِن كَانَ مِنَ الْمُكَذِّبِينَ الضَّالِّينَ
93 Then for him is an entertainment with Hamim. فَنُزُلٌ مِّنْ حَمِيمٍ
94 And entry in Hellfire. وَتَصْلِيَةُ جَحِيمٍ
95 Verily, this! This is an absolute truth with certainty. إِنَّ هَذَا لَهُوَ حَقُّ الْيَقِينِ
96 So, glorify with praises the Name of your Lord, the Most Great. فَسَبِّحْ بِاسْمِ رَبِّكَ الْعَظِيمِ
