# Translation Ayah
1 By the heaven holding the Buruj. وَالسَّمَاء ذَاتِ الْبُرُوجِ
2 And by by the Promised Day. وَالْيَوْمِ الْمَوْعُودِ
3 And by the Witness and by the Witnessed. وَشَاهِدٍ وَمَشْهُودٍ
4 Cursed were the People of the Ditch. قُتِلَ أَصْحَابُ الْأُخْدُودِ
5 Of fire fed with fuel. النَّارِ ذَاتِ الْوَقُودِ
6 When they sat by it. إِذْ هُمْ عَلَيْهَا قُعُودٌ
7 And they witnessed what they were doing against the believers. وَهُمْ عَلَى مَا يَفْعَلُونَ بِالْمُؤْمِنِينَ شُهُودٌ
8 And they had no fault except that they believed in Allah, the Almighty, Worthy of all praise! وَمَا نَقَمُوا مِنْهُمْ إِلَّا أَن يُؤْمِنُوا بِاللَّهِ الْعَزِيزِ الْحَمِيدِ
9 To Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth! And Allah is Witness over everything. الَّذِي لَهُ مُلْكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَاللَّهُ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ شَهِيدٌ
10 Verily, those who put into trial the believing men and believing women, and then do not turn in repentance, then they will have the torment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the burning Fire. إِنَّ الَّذِينَ فَتَنُوا الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ ثُمَّ لَمْ يَتُوبُوا فَلَهُمْ عَذَابُ جَهَنَّمَ وَلَهُمْ
11 Verily, those who believe and do righteous good deeds, for them will be Gardens under which rivers flow. That is the supreme success. إِنَّ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ لَهُمْ جَنَّاتٌ تَجْرِي مِن تَحْتِهَا الْأَنْهَارُ ذَلِكَ الْفَوْزُ الْكَبِيرُ
12 Verily, the punishment of your Lord is severe and painful. إِنَّ بَطْشَ رَبِّكَ لَشَدِيدٌ
13 Verily, He it is Who begins and repeats. إِنَّهُ هُوَ يُبْدِئُ وَيُعِيدُ
14 And He is Oft-Forgiving, Al-Wadud. وَهُوَ الْغَفُورُ الْوَدُودُ
15 Owner of the Throne, Al-Majid (the Glorious). ذُو الْعَرْشِ الْمَجِيدُ
16 Doer of what He intends. فَعَّالٌ لِّمَا يُرِيدُ
17 Has the story reached you of the hosts. هَلْ أَتَاكَ حَدِيثُ الْجُنُودِ
18 Of Fir`awn and Thamud فِرْعَوْنَ وَثَمُودَ
19 Nay! The disbelievers (persisted) in denying. بَلِ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا فِي تَكْذِيبٍ
20 And Allah encompasses them from behind! وَاللَّهُ مِن وَرَائِهِم مُّحِيطٌ
21 Nay! This is a Glorious Qur'an, بَلْ هُوَ قُرْآنٌ مَّجِيدٌ
22 In Al-Lawh Al-Mahfuz! فِي لَوْحٍ مَّحْفُوظٍ
