# Translation Ayah
1 O you enveloped in garments! يَا أَيُّهَا الْمُدَّثِّرُ
2 Arise and warn! قُمْ فَأَنذِرْ
3 And magnify your Lord! وَرَبَّكَ فَكَبِّرْ
4 And purify your garments! وَثِيَابَكَ فَطَهِّرْ
5 And keep away from Ar-Rujz! وَالرُّجْزَ فَاهْجُرْ
6 And give not a thing in order to have more. وَلَا تَمْنُن تَسْتَكْثِرُ
7 And be patient for the sake of your Lord! وَلِرَبِّكَ فَاصْبِرْ
8 Then, when the Naqur is sounded. فَإِذَا نُقِرَ فِي النَّاقُورِ
9 Truly, that Day will be a Hard Day. فَذَلِكَ يَوْمَئِذٍ يَوْمٌ عَسِيرٌ
10 Far from easy for the disbelievers. عَلَى الْكَافِرِينَ غَيْرُ يَسِيرٍ
11 Leave Me alone (to deal) with whom I created lonely. ذَرْنِي وَمَنْ خَلَقْتُ وَحِيدًا
12 And then granted him resources in abundance. وَجَعَلْتُ لَهُ مَالًا مَّمْدُودًا
13 And children attending. وَبَنِينَ شُهُودًا
14 And made life smooth and comfortable for him. وَمَهَّدتُّ لَهُ تَمْهِيدًا
15 After all that he desires that I should give more. ثُمَّ يَطْمَعُ أَنْ أَزِيدَ
16 Nay! Verily, he has been opposing Our Ayat. كَلَّا إِنَّهُ كَانَ لِآيَاتِنَا عَنِيدًا
17 I shall force him to Sa`ud! سَأُرْهِقُهُ صَعُودًا
18 Verily, he thought and plotted. إِنَّهُ فَكَّرَ وَقَدَّرَ
19 So let him be cursed, how he plotted! فَقُتِلَ كَيْفَ قَدَّرَ
20 And once more let him be cursed, how he plotted! ثُمَّ قُتِلَ كَيْفَ قَدَّرَ
21 Then he thought. ثُمَّ نَظَرَ
22 Then he frowned and he looked in a bad tempered way; ثُمَّ عَبَسَ وَبَسَرَ
23 Then he turned back, and was proud. ثُمَّ أَدْبَرَ وَاسْتَكْبَرَ
24 Then he said: "This is nothing but magic from that of old, فَقَالَ إِنْ هَذَا إِلَّا سِحْرٌ يُؤْثَرُ
25 "This is nothing but the word of a human being!" إِنْ هَذَا إِلَّا قَوْلُ الْبَشَرِ
26 I will cast him into Saqar. سَأُصْلِيهِ سَقَرَ
27 And what will make you know (exactly) what Saqar is وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا سَقَرُ
28 It spares not, nor does it leave (anything)! لَا تُبْقِي وَلَا تَذَرُ
29 Scorching for the humans! لَوَّاحَةٌ لِّلْبَشَرِ
30 Over it are nineteen. عَلَيْهَا تِسْعَةَ عَشَرَ
31 And We have set none but angels as guardians of the Fire. And We have fixed their number only as a trial for the disbelievers, in order that the People of the Scripture may arrive at a certainty and that the believers may increase in faith, and that no doubt may be left for the People of the Scripture and the believers, and that those in whose hearts is a disease and the disbelievers may say: "What does Allah intend by this example" Thus Allah leads astray whom He wills and guides whom He wills. And none can know the hosts of your Lord but He. And this is nothing but a reminder to mankind. وَمَا جَعَلْنَا أَصْحَابَ النَّارِ إِلَّا مَلَائِكَةً وَمَا جَعَلْنَا عِدَّتَهُمْ إِلَّا فِتْنَةً لِّلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لِيَسْتَيْقِنَ الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْكِتَابَ وَيَزْدَادَ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِيمَانًا وَلَا يَرْتَابَ الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْكِتَابَ وَالْمُؤْمِنُونَ وَلِيَقُولَ الَّذِينَ فِي قُلُوبِهِم مَّرَضٌ وَالْكَافِرُونَ مَاذَا أَرَادَ اللَّهُ بِهَذَا مَثَلًا كَذَلِكَ يُضِلُّ اللَّهُ مَن يَشَاء وَيَهْدِي مَن يَشَاء وَمَا يَعْلَمُ جُنُودَ رَبِّكَ إِلَّا هُوَ وَمَا هِيَ إِلَّا ذِكْرَى لِلْبَشَرِ
32 Nay! And by the moon. كَلَّا وَالْقَمَرِ
33 And by the night when it withdraws. وَاللَّيْلِ إِذْ أَدْبَرَ
34 And by the dawn when it brightens. وَالصُّبْحِ إِذَا أَسْفَرَ
35 Verily, it is but one of the greatest (signs). إِنَّهَا لَإِحْدَى الْكُبَرِ
36 A warning to mankind نَذِيرًا لِّلْبَشَرِ
37 To any of you that chooses to go forward, or to remain behind. لِمَن شَاء مِنكُمْ أَن يَتَقَدَّمَ أَوْ يَتَأَخَّرَ
38 Every person is a pledge for what he has earned, كُلُّ نَفْسٍ بِمَا كَسَبَتْ رَهِينَةٌ
39 Except those on the Right. إِلَّا أَصْحَابَ الْيَمِينِ
40 In Gardens they will ask one another, فِي جَنَّاتٍ يَتَسَاءلُونَ
41 About criminals (and they will say to them): عَنِ الْمُجْرِمِينَ
42 "What has caused you to enter Hell" مَا سَلَكَكُمْ فِي سَقَرَ
43 They will say: "We were not of those who used to offer the Salah," قَالُوا لَمْ نَكُ مِنَ الْمُصَلِّينَ
44 "Nor did we feed the poor;" وَلَمْ نَكُ نُطْعِمُ الْمِسْكِينَ
45 "And we used to speak falsehood with vain speakers." وَكُنَّا نَخُوضُ مَعَ الْخَائِضِينَ
46 "And we used to deny the Day of Recompense," وَكُنَّا نُكَذِّبُ بِيَوْمِ الدِّينِ
47 "Until Al-Yaqin came to us." حَتَّى أَتَانَا الْيَقِينُ
48 So no intercession of intercessors will be of any use to them. فَمَا تَنفَعُهُمْ شَفَاعَةُ الشَّافِعِينَ
49 Then what is wrong with them that they turn away from admonition فَمَا لَهُمْ عَنِ التَّذْكِرَةِ مُعْرِضِينَ
50 As if they were wild donkeys. كَأَنَّهُمْ حُمُرٌ مُّسْتَنفِرَةٌ
51 Fleeing from a Qaswarah. فَرَّتْ مِن قَسْوَرَةٍ
52 Nay, everyone of them desires that he should be given pages spread out. بَلْ يُرِيدُ كُلُّ امْرِئٍ مِّنْهُمْ أَن يُؤْتَى صُحُفًا مُّنَشَّرَةً
53 Nay! But they fear not the Hereafter. كَلَّا بَل لَا يَخَافُونَ الْآخِرَةَ
54 Nay, verily, this is an admonition. كَلَّا إِنَّهُ تَذْكِرَةٌ
55 So, whosoever wills receives admonition from it! فَمَن شَاء ذَكَرَهُ
56 And they will not receive admonition unless Allah wills; He is the One, deserving of the Taqwa and He is the One Who forgives. وَمَا يَذْكُرُونَ إِلَّا أَن يَشَاء اللَّهُ هُوَ أَهْلُ التَّقْوَى وَأَهْلُ الْمَغْفِرَةِ
